Profile Summary:

Ms. Sidra Tariq is an experienced Prosthetist and Orthotist with over 8 years in clinical practice, teaching, and research. She holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Orthotics & Prosthetics (Rawalpindi Medical University, Rawalpindi), an MS in Biomedical Sciences (NUST, Islamabad ), and is pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on prosthetic and orthotic devices, rehabilitation and neural engineering.


As an Assistant Professor and Lab Incharge at PIRS, she leads curriculum development, delivers lectures and hands-on training for undergraduate prosthetics and orthotics program, and oversees advanced clinical services for patients requiring prosthetic and orthotic care. She has extensive clinical experience managing amputee care, orthotic solutions, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation.


Sidra’s research interest includes rehabilitation engineering, innovative prosthetic and orthotic designs and gait rehabilitation techniques for stroke and neurological disorders. She has several publications on assistive robotics, cognitive rehabilitation, and orthotic advancements. Through her dedication to education and patient-centered innovation, she continues to advance the field of prosthetics and orthotics while inspiring future rehabilitation professionals.
