Spectacles given to school children identified during school screening for uncorrected refractive error.
PIRS established a Primary Eye Care Centre at Madni town, Nilore. A free eye and medical camp was arranged at this centre on 24th June 2021, in collaboration with HDF. Nearly 250 patients attended the camp and highly appreciated efforts of both teams.
Free medicine distributed and those in need of eye glasses will be be provided after dispensing.
Today Pakistan Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences Islamabad, conducted a screening and awareness session regarding Noise Induce Hearing Loss (NIHL) for public transport drivers. 25 drivers were screened, and communicated about basic ear care and effects of noise on hearing and long term consequences of hearing loss.

The Vice Chancellor discussed the performance of various departments and students in take in the different programs offered at the campus. He desired that all heads should set specific goals and vision with objective to move the university upward.
The Vice Chancellor desired to review the existing programs and explore the possibility to launch new market oriented programs for which university will extend all possible help.
PIRS organized a 3 day Workshop on Research Methodology in collaboration with London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
A seminar was held by Pakistan Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences about promoting the participation of persons with disabilities and their leadership taking action on the 2030 development agenda. Mr Asim Zafar (Manager Hands Pakistan and community Based Inclusive Development Network Secretariat) was the guest Speaker for the program.
